Alaric Mosswood's Journals
Alaric Mosswood - known to most as "Amoeba" - spent his later years in a modest room at the Inkwell Inn. There, away from the noise and light of the Citadel's grand halls, he wrote. Not the polished works he submitted to the archives, but something else. Something personal.
He filled notebooks with observations, half-finished thoughts, pressed leaves, and the occasional sketch of a cat. He wrote about the Citadel, the bugs, the scribes he outlived, and the quiet life he chose. He never intended for these pages to be read by anyone but himself.
After his passing, the room sat untouched for years. When it was finally opened, the journals were found in disarray—stacked, scattered, some pages torn, others missing entirely. Mira Thorne, the innkeeper, kept them safe. And now, piece by piece, they are being restored and shared.
Not every entry is complete. Some are fragments. Some are undated. All of them are his.
The archive grows as more entries are recovered. What you see here is what has been transcribed so far.

I Write

The other scribes, they rush. They always have. They fill their pages with blotted ink and their days with noise and constant chatter. Perhaps they’re afraid that if they stop, if the noise stops, so will they.
I have the opposite problem...
